|Health Professions Council Registration - What Does it Mean?||2003-10-01|
Using a Health Professions Council Registered Chiropodist guarantees that your Chiropodist has met the governing body's minimum standards. The new Act came into force 9th July 2003 and all unregistered Chiropodists/Podiatrists had until July 2005 to register. Chiropodists/Podiatrists are one of 20 titles now protected under the act.
A list of these titles is available on the Health Professions Council's website listed below.
Registered Chiropodists have to sign up to a code of conduct (available to view at www.hpc-uk.org). If a patient has a complaint against a Registered Chiropodist they can contact the regulating body, who will take up the enquiry and see the problem through to an appropriate resolution.
Peter Hayward of The Crowthorne Chiropody Clinic is a Health Professions Council Registered Chiropodist. Registration Number CH16432 and is a member of the The Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists No. M1328.
